“It wasn’t supposed to be like this!” Mila was half out of her chair; her eyes were wild. “Tommy wasn’t supposed to die, goddamnit!” She collapsed back into her seat, and I felt truly awful when she lifted a hand to cover her eyes, a sob escaping from her mouth before she could stop it. Tia appeared, and to my surprise she instantly took Mila’s side. Tissue box, a hot tea, and an absolutely scathing look in my direction. I bulged my eyes out at her and mouthed the word ‘what?’ I hadn’t meant to make this gorgeous creature cry. I felt like a complete asshole, actually.
